Church Profile:
Our Pastor, Rev. Armand Proulx, is retiring during the summer of 2012 and we have undertaken a search for a new full-time minister. A Search Committee has been formed and our UCC Local Church Profile (LCP) has been developed.
Rarely do members of a local church have the opportunity to reflect together on the question, “How do we understand ourselves as a church?” The preparation of our profile offered us just that opportunity. We experienced new possibilities for gathering information, studying, reflecting, discerning, and praying together as we attempted to clarify our own unique history and distinctive identity.
This profile is the foundation of our Search Committee’s work. It enables us to tell the story of our relationships with previous pastors and to describe the community of Greenfield. The profile tells future candidates about our history, our financial situation, and our relationship with the United Church of Christ. It describes where we've been and where we are looking to go, as well as how we hope our new pastor will participate in that journey. Read and enjoy!
